Rosie Roff has graced the pages of Maxim, FHM and countless other magazines. Boxing fans know her best as one of the friendliest and beautiful TR Knockouts.
Round By Round Boxing recently caught up with Top Rank’s hottest import to talk about modeling, boxing, what motivates her and more!
Round By Round Boxing: You’re an accomplished model outside of being a ring card girl, but talk about how you got started with the TR Knockouts?
Rosie Roff: Thank you! Yes, I started modeling when I was 16. I’ve accomplished a lot in that time and have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best photographers in the world. I’ve been lucky, I think, with many things, like being featured in FHM’s sexiest girls etc. I feel really privileged and lucky. I work hard in this business and I enjoy what I do, I think that it pays off.
I enjoy social media and I post a lot about my work and share my photographs online. A lot of the work I do, is with fine art photographers so it is meant for sharing and it is supposed to be seen. It was because of this that I was scouted online by Top Rank. It was Instagram actually. The scouts for the TR Knockouts noticed my page and my pictures and got in touch with me.
RBRBoxing: I think I speak for everyone when I say, thanks for sharing your work! What’s the best part of the job with the TR Knockouts?
Rosie Roff: One of the best parts of the job has been following the fighters careers; their struggles and their wins.
An example is having worked three Garcia fights and being around the fighters, trainers and their families over the press conference tours, you really get a sense of who the fighters are and the qualities they stand for. I mention Garcia because of his amazing accomplishments and his victories that I have been lucky enough to see. I also mention him because he comes across as a genuinely sweet person. It’s great to watch developments in a persons career and anticipate whether they will have the same accomplishments the next time.
I think as a woman who was completely new to the boxing world, being able to relate to all of the fighters as family guys and meeting the team they work with really helps. Seeing that they are funny, polite and that they train at all hours in the gym–anything that adds humility–whilst they are outside of the ring; really helps you connect and engage during the actual fight time. This aspect has really helped me pay attention to the sport on a whole and connect with the drama of the challenges the fighters face.
RBRBoxing: What’s been your favorite event or boxing fight you’ve worked?
Rosie Roff: The [Miguel] Cotto fights are always electric atmospheres. The Puerto Rican crowds are amazing! Its the loudest and most entertaining crowd that I have experienced and I have never seen so many gorgeous female fans as I do when he fights. It’s always a good thing to meet those gorgeous girls before the fight!
The last fight I worked at Madison Square Gardens was a great event. 50 cent came with his fighter [Yuriorkis] Gamboa, who will be fighting Garcia and it was good to see the opposition as a spectator like that.
I blew 50 a kiss from the ring when I did my seventh round and he caught it.
It was sweet that he interacted like that and came to see the fight. All that adds to the anticipation for when when his fighter gets in the ring. I think that fight–Gamboa vs. Garcia–is going to be an amazing one!
I have fun at all of them, it’s always great fun and the boxing fans make the evening a really enjoyable one for me. We usually see the same faces at the fights and we get time to talk and meet the fans, which I love.

RBRBoxing: That’s awesome, we are eagerly anticipating Garcia vs. Gamboa as well. Do you have a favorite boxer?
Rosie Roff: Not one particular favorite. I get a favorite boxer each time there is an event. I’m definitely learning to respect many fighters and their careers. I think I’ll have a collection of favorites over time.
My favorites will range from established names like Manny Pacquiao and Cotto to new upcoming names like Felix Verdejo. That guy will be a superstar I’m sure.
RBRBoxing: You heard it here first, Rosie says Verdejo will be a superstar!
So having accomplished so much already, what motivates you?
Rosie Roff: I’m motivated by success and excitement. I like to feel busy and that I am developing myself all the time. I’m quite an independent girl and I like to feel like my career isn’t limited to one area. I’m completely goal orientated and routine and boredom scares me more than anything else. I’m motivated by making a living on my own schedule and in my own way.
RBRBoxing: What are your goals for 2014?
Rosie Roff: I’d like to see more live sports this year. I was able to watch a lot of boxing this year, but also because of working with Top Rank, I was able to watch the Los Angeles Lakers from court side, see the UFC fight with George St Pierre in Vegas and was invited to see the Superbowl. I’m in the U.K. at the moment, but when I get back I’m excited to watch Ice Hockey for the first time. I have a box at the L.A. Kings for a game, which I can’t wait to use. I love the sporting atmospheres of all of them.
RBRBoxing: What’s the most obnoxious thing someone has said to you at a boxing fight?
Rosie Roff: In England, we call boxing, “The Gentleman’s Sport” and I think that applies everywhere. Everyone at the boxing events, so far–to my face at least–everyone has been lovely!
RBRBoxing: Being from England–a football crazed nation–do you have a favorite club team?
Rosie Roff: I’ll always root for England in the World Cup and my favorite teams within the U.K. are probably the obvious. Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The U.K. LOVES football. It’s such a big event for everyone, it unites the whole country when the World Cup happens.
RBRBoxing: Anything you’d like to say to your adoring fans?
Rosie Roff: Ha, well if there really are any adoring ones then I’d like to say “I adore you right back” xoxo!
RBRBoxing: Where can people check you out?
Rosie Roff: @RosieRoff on both Twitter and Instagram. Come and say hi, I reply as often as I can. I love to stay in touch.
Thanks! Lots of Love!
